Guerlain Lingerie De Peau Foundation SPF 20

Guerlain-Lingerie-DePeau-Foundation-SPF20-review-001I love foundations and have reviewed quite a few on my blog but had never tried one from Guerlain. I’ve been really intrigue in trying more of their products so when I saw this one at Sephora, it caught my attention so I decided to give it a try without hearing anything about it previously but the beautiful packaging also drew me in.

L-R: Heavy swatch and Blended swatch

This foundation comes in a beautiful luxurious glass bottle with a pump and a black plastic cap featuring the Guerlain logo in gold on the top of the cap. There appears to be very limited color selection (10 shades) to choose from so chose your shade wisely. I am using the shade #04 Beige Moyen (other colors were either too light or too dark) and it matches fairly well especially coming into the colder months when my tan will start to fade; but it has a rosy/pinkish undertone as you can see from the swatches above. Guerlain-Lingerie-DePeau-Foundation-SPF20-review-002Guerlain-Lingerie-DePeau-Foundation-SPF20-review-003Guerlain Lingerie De Peau Invisible Skin-Fusion Foundation is an invisible foundation that wears like a second skin. It is a light to medium coverage and the formula is incredibly lightweight, creamy and perfect for no-makeup, makeup days. It has a silky formula that creates a natural radiance that captures and reflects light to reveal the look of naturally perfect skin. This really looks like skin and covers nicely making face looks flawless. It’s a beautiful satin finish that wears well for about 6 hours. It blends very easily to even, seamless appearance, becomes absolutely invisible and undetectable on the skin. It basically looks like your natural skin but better.

I have combination/dry skin but I think this will be good for all skin types. It has an SPF of 20 sun protection which is perfect for daily wear. Like I mentioned above, the color range is limited so that is quite disappointing. My main problem with this foundation is that most of the shades tend to lean towards the neutral beige and rosy undertones and it may be difficult to find a match if you are more yellow/golden in tone as I am! I also found that it oxidizes a bit darker.

Overall, this really is a beautiful foundation that looks beautifully natural and very skin-like. It is an impressive foundation that does a great job of blurring pores, redness, and minor imperfections. I like that it is non-sticky and I did not have any issues with breakouts or irritations. Overall rating: 4.2/5 because of the hefty price tag at US $63.00 / CAD $69.00 and the color selections but I really like it so I will be keeping this one.

  1. Never really paid much attention to this foundation when I’m in Sephora. Will check it out next time but I may not be able find a yellow tone shade based on your review. Thanks for the review girl.
