This is my first Anastasia Beverly Hills eyeshadow palette and I must say I’m happy I grab this Limited Edition one. Described as the ultimate makeup artist’s palette, it housed 14 shades all ranging from a neutral taupe to obsidian black and deliver intense color, so you can create an endless array of custom looks. What also makes this palette great is that you’re getting more shades. Previously, Anastasia Beverly Hills palettes consisted of 10 shades. I had a chance to play around with the palette in the last couple weeks and I am really pleased with the quality. The packaging is very elegant and the palette is housed in a slim cardboard that feels sturdy with the surface having a raised texture and comes with an interior mirror. It also comes with a dual ended eyeshadow brush.Anastasia Self-Made Eyeshadow Palette includes 14 gorgeous eyeshadows to create endless looks. Two of the fourteen shades (Pink Champagne and Hot Chocolate) are available as individual shades from the brand’s permanent range of single eyeshadows and Buttery was released in another palette. The wide range of finishes makes this palette very appealing as there are satin, glitter, bold metallic and matte finishes. The formulation of these shadows are buttery, smooth, and creamy with amazing pigmentation making the blending process effortless. Hot Chocolate had a drier texture making it harder to blend while Buttery was slightly powdery. I wish there were more matte shades in the palette other than Buttery and Hot Chocolate. From looking at the palette, I would say it is a more neutral warm-tone palette with a couple pops of color thrown in. The shades wore well and faded after about 7-8 hours of wear.
