There’s nothing better than a Tom Ford Beauty summer collection. The Tom Ford Summer Soleil Collection for 2016 is absolutely beautiful and the white packaging is perfection, and what’s inside is even better. From creamy to soft textures, it’s the right amount of everything to help achieve that bronzed glow this summer. I was only able to get my hands on the pictured items because at time of release, these were the only items available for purchase (everything else is still “out of stock” since the release) on the Canadian Sephora website.
TOM FORD Soleil Contouring Compact ‘The Afternooner’ (CAD $124.00 / US $108.00) – This is the item I wanted most but after getting this, I’ve been trying to get my hands on Bicoastal. This sleek compact features three summer shades of blush, highlighter, and bronzer in sheer-to-medium, cream-like powder formulas. Everything you need to add warmth and color to your face is included and all three shades are very finely milled and blend onto skin really nicely. The highlighter is a shimmering pale gold, not glittery at all; the blush is a matte peachy coral pink and finally a warm matte bronzer with a bit of golden shimmer that is not detectable once applied. These are beautiful on the face and does not emphasize pores. It also lasted very well through the day. I not only like to use the highlight on my cheeks but I use it on my brow bone as well as an all-over lid shadow, and the bronzer in my crease. I find the texture a bit similar to the Moodlight Skin Illuminating Duo, which I adore.
TOM FORD Moisturecore Lip Color ‘Carriacou’ (CAD $63.00 / US $55.00) – These lipstick/balm hybrids are luminous, lightweight, moisturizing and add a really nice pop of color to lips. It’s infused with an exotic blend of melon fruit extract, murumuru butter, and plant-derived esters to condition lips, and a luminous lip color encases the center. I picked up the shade Carriacou, a warm peach. The lipstick glides on like a dream and feels buttery and the wear time is incredible so you could easily get up to 5 hours, as it did for me. It’s a wonderfully hydrating lipstick that has great pigment.
TOM FORD Ultra-Rich Lip Color ‘Aphrodite’ (CAD $63.00 / US $52.00) – These lipsticks are a full-coverage, high-shine lipstick that moisturizes lips. The formula is lightweight, creamy and slightly hydrating. I purchased the color Aphrodite, a deep cool raspberry pink with micro-shimmer and a subtle sheen. The formula goes on pigmented and can be layered on for deeper color payoff.
Overall, all three items perform really well in terms of pigment and how smooth they look on the skin. I’m extremely happy with the quality of the collection. I expected nothing less from Tom Ford and love how lightweight everything feels on the skin. The colors are also versatile and will go with a wide variety of looks and can take your beauty look from day to night for that summery natural healthy glow.
