I have been wanting to get my hands on some new Morphe brushes for a while now and while this isn’t the first time I’ve used their brushes (I previously purchased the 18 piece Vegan Brush Set and while they’re okay, they weren’t that great), I’ve heard some really good things about these individual ones. I also needed some new brushes as I recently did a little purge and got rid of some of my old brushes or the ones that weren’t performing well.

Morphe Brushes has garnered huge popularity on social media and if you’ve been watching Youtube, then you know, these brushes are popular amongst many youtubers.

Morphe Brushes categorizes their makeup brushes according to various lines. There’s a wide array of ranges to pick from and many are priced quite decently as well. Some of the popular ones include the Elite CollectionFlawless Collection and Gun Metal Collection. I purchased these four directly from the Morphe website and they took about 3 weeks to arrive here in Toronto, Canada.

M441 – Pro Firm Blending Crease

This is one of those eye brushes I grab for all the time whenever I doing my makeup. It is perfect to use to apply any transition color right in the crease. This brush is made up of natural hair so it would not pick up excessive product and it applies products really nicely.

M510 – Pro Round Blender

This is a fluffy brush with a rounded top and similar to the M501 Pro Pointed Blender. Though classified as a Pro blender brush, I actually use as a highlighter brush because it’s too large for the eyes and doesn’t blend harsh lines out very well. While it’s an okay brush to use for highlighting, I prefer the R36 for that. This one however gives a more natural highlight.  Funny enough, of the four brushes, this is the one I reach for the least.

M527 – Deluxe Pointed Powder

The bristles on this are Goat hair so I don’t find it to be the softest but it is a fluffy paddle brush that I use for bronzer. It has a really nice shape, not too big, jut the perfect size for bronzing. It gives a flawless and even application all the time. I really like this one a lot!

R36 – Pointed Highlight

Just slightly bigger that M510, this one is specifically for highlighting. It just fits nicely on my cheek bones and is the perfect size! It’s fluffy enough to blend but still dense enough to hold the right amount of product. Love this!

Overall, I really like these brushes and will definitely be purchasing more from Morphe. I do wish that the Goat Hair Brushes were a bit softer but I think they work well and they wash very well too and I never had any issues with shedding.  I don’t disagree that these are great brushes; however, I really don’t think that the quality of all of these brushes are the best and that is also speaking from experience with my Vegan Brush Set that felt apart after a handful of washes. However, considering the price point, there are some really amazing ones. Given the wide selection of brushes that are available on the website, it’s definitely a good idea to do some research and choose carefully depending on your makeup routine.

Have you tried any Morphe Brushes? Do you have any favorites I should try? Do you think they’re worth the hype?

 xo ❤
