BITE’s most nourishing lipstick, now in a liquid form! Founder Susanne Langmuir developed 12 modern, wearable shades that you’ve never seen before from Bite. With complex and moody undertones that work perfectly with their new formula, this collection gives everyday lip color an unexpected twist. The formula is handcrafted for rich, high-impact color and an indulgently creamy, comfortable application that glides on with unprecedented precision.
I was sent these three shades by Bite Beauty from Influenster to review:
- Demi-Glace – Chocolate Mauve
- Éclair – Soft Rose Pink
- Flambé – Vivid Poppy (Orange tone red)
Made with monoi butter and coconut oil for a smooth, nourishing, creamy application, these will not dry out your lips the way some liquid lipsticks can. They have a sleek rectangular package with a doe-foot applicator that applies like a gloss and dries into a semi-glaze finish. The colours are rich and pigmented and they glide on smooth leaving a semi-glaze finish and feels nicely hydrating as well. The texture is mousy, feels so creamy and luxurious and easy to apply. I don’t know if you guys know this but all of BITE products are actually food grade. They smell just like their regular Amuse Bouche lipsticks in the bullet form.
I know many people love matte lipsticks and while I do have a few favorites, I have always said I still do prefer a glossy finish so it’s great to see that moist, dewy and glossier finishes are making their way back. Okay, so although these are liquid lipsticks; they are not meant to dry down matte and they never claim to – they dry into a semi-glaze finish. The formula is not sticky at all, stays extremely comfortable and saturated for hours but they don’t wear well through eating and they do transfer. It will also end up on your teeth so do that finger trick. Flambé also bleeds a little.
I was also sent the Line & Define Lip Primer (CAD $25), which is a moisturizing lip primer that instantly preps the lips for lipstick application. The silky, weightless primer contains lauroyl lysine and silica to naturally nourish lips, retain long-term color, and prevent feathering. Resveratrol, jojoba oil, and argan oil condition and smooth, while the perfect amount of mint leaves you with sumptuous-looking lips.
The packaging is very lovely and it feels really nice on the lips however I didn’t see any plumping effect and it didn’t make the lipstick last any longer. It has sort of a slight minty smell, kind of like toothpaste and it does have a minty feel for a little while but most plumper’s tingle a bit after application but this one didn’t. It is great under drying liquid lipsticks and makes lips feel moisturized.
Bottom line, these liquified lipsticks are fantastic! They are comfortable to wear and I just love the rich color payoff and moisturizing formula. They look fresh and the glossy finish makes my lips look healthy.
The Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Liquified Lipsticks are now available at Sephora and retails for CAD $28 / US $24.
What are your thoughts? Will you be picking any of these up?
