KLAIRS SOFT AIRY UV ESSENCE SPF 50

THE SUNSCREEN FOR PEOPLE WHO HATE SUNSCREEN

KLAIRS SOFT AIRY UV ESSENCE SPF 50 I don’t tend to test a lot of sunscreens because I’m usually disappointed in many of the ones I’ve tried. I have a couple that I like and use all the time but have never tried a Korean sunscreen before. I love Korean skincare, so I was delighted to receive a sample of the Klairs Soft Airy UV Essence SPF 50 from Wishtrend to try.

We all know that sunscreen is very important and should not be skipped. In the past, I’ve neglected using a separate sunscreen for the face thinking often times either my moisturizer or foundation with SPF was sufficient. As I age I’m being more proactive about protecting my skin. Still when it comes to sunscreen it’s overwhelming for me to separate what’s good vs. bad and everyone has a different opinion; but with all the information, reviews and just testing items myself, I’ve figured out what works best for me and what’s suitable for my skin type.

KLAIRS SOFT AIRY UV ESSENCE SPF 50

I’ve been testing the KLAIRS Soft Airy UV Essence SPF 50 PA ++++ one for the past several weeks. This is described as an everyday sun protector for sensitive skin. As it is water-based, it holds a gel-type texture to give a soft weightless and light finish. Also with its high SPF and PA level, it completely guards the skin against UVA, UVB without leaving any greasiness or white cast. Once blended, it disappears completely into the skin. When brands say their sunscreen is “invisible” I find around half the time they are not. Since I have olive skin most still leave a white cast that I do not like. This one truly disappears 100%. It has no flash back in photographs.

Key ingredients include:

Niacinamide, Adenosine, Panthenol, Beta-Glucan and Sea Buckthorn Oil

Full ingredients: Water (Aqua), Dicaprylyl Carbonate, Butylene Glycol, Dibutyl Adipate, Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, 1,2-Hexanediol, Glycerin, Niacinamide, Ethylhexyl Triazone, Polyglyceryl-3 Methylglucose Distearate, Silica, Cetearyl Olivate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Sorbitan Olivate, Glyceryl Stearate SE, Methyl Glucose Sesquistearate, Sorbitan Stearate, Panthenol, Beta-Glucan, Disodium EDTA, Citrus Junos Fruit Extract, Adenosine, Sodium Hyaluornate, Anthemis Nobilis Flower Oil, Caprylyl Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Tocopherol, Allantoin, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Oil

This sunscreen doesn’t have a fragrance to it. It has a very lightweight hydrating feel and spreads evenly and easily onto the skin. It absorbs quickly without leaving any white case or greasy/heavy feeling and most importantly, it did not irritate my overly sensitive eyes. This did not irritate or clog my pores either. It layered well over moisturizer without pilling and worked with a wide range of foundations. I’ve even used it as a hydrating primer from time to time and it works beautifully.

KLAIRS SOFT AIRY UV ESSENCE SPF 50

Here are some additional information on the sunscreen found on the Wishtrend website:

-20 types of ingredients, no additives, all components EWG green level.
-From face, body to hands, apply it anywhere with your concerns of photo-aging.
-The texture and ingredients do block the pores, making it more convenient and comfortable to cleanse your skin.
-By including high light stability components, high UV stability is achieved while minimizing skin irritation.

Overall thumbs up on this sunscreen. It is one of the most lightweight sunscreens I’ve ever used and I love how hydrating it is. If you’re one who dislikes using sunscreen a lot, then I really think that you’d enjoy this one because of its lightweight feel, how non-sticky it is, no white cast and perfect for sensitive skin. It is also great for those who want to reapply sunscreen over the makeup and also for those who do not like to apply sunscreen. This sunscreen is also vegan-friendly and cruelty-free.

You can purchase the Klairs Soft Airy UV Essence on Wishtrend for $23.

What’s your go to everyday sunscreen?
