MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Cheeky Bronze (US $32.00 & CAD $37.00) is described on MAC website as “soft coral with golden shimmer.” It is a coppery orange bronze with a frosted finish and gold shimmer. It is finely milled, soft and very pigmented.
On me, this functions more as a blush than a highlighter although when I purchased it, it was for highlighting purposes. However, depending on your skin tone, and personal preferences, Cheeky Bronze could function either as a blush or a highlighter. Although I often wear it as a blush; when I do wear it as a highlighter, it looks like a rose gold highlighter on my skin tone. I recommend a light hand and fan or stippling brush when using this because it is so pigmented, it will distribute heavily.

It does emphasized a bit of skin texture because of the frostiness and the shimmer. I would also caution against using as an “all over” face bronzer because of the shimmer, unless you like that kind of thing; however, it does sheer out easily for a beautiful warm glow. I prefer wearing this more in the summer time!

Earlier last year, MAC repackaged the MSF compacts. There are 5 shades in the line-up, and I purchased 2 of them (Cheeky Bronze and Soft & Gentle). The newer packaging is a glossy black and looks rather sophisticated. I do like the look; however, I find that it is hard to open which can be a pain at times.
