Dior launched new complexion enhancers and liquid highlighters called the Forever Glow Star Filter Multi-Use Complexion Enhancing Booster and Forever Glow Maximizer Longwear Liquid Highlighter. I only picked up one of the Star Filter as I felt I didn’t need the Glow Maximizer.
So, Dior newly added multi-use complexion enhancer is called the Forever Glow Star Filter, a liquid illuminator that enhances the complexion and smooths the skin. These are similar in concept to the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter which I absolutely love. You can wear these on bare skin as a primer, mixed with foundation or applied on top of foundation as a subtle highlight.
This liquid illuminator is formulated with 94 percent natural-origin ingredients and visibly brightens, smooths, and blurs the skin. The booster has a very smooth glow and the shimmer particles are very fine so I wear it all over the face without looking greasy. I will say the degree of shimmer on your skin will depend on what color you pick. I have shade 3 which is for medium skin with neutral undertone and it matches me perfectly since it’s closer to my skin tone.
Formula is light coverage with a radiant finish. It feels very lightweight on the skin and blends and sets nicely. When I applied it to my skin the first time, my reaction was, ”wow, I really like this”. It was just perfect with a beautiful glow, not matte but not greasy looking either.
Overall, I love the look, feel and lasting power of it. Between this and the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter, I’d pick this one as the Charlotte Tilbury flawless filter is a bit thicker and can feel heavy on my face, however, this one is so different! It’s really thin so it feels weightless, which I love since I’m only doing tinted moisturizers these days. It just makes my skin look luminous in a more natural way. The shimmer is the most natural looking, making it easy to wear all over the face without emphasizing fine lines or texture even on my bad skin days.
Dior comes with a pump vs a sponge applicator which I quite like actually and it has a bit of a fragrance in it that I don’t really notice all that much.
