For this holiday, Burberry Beauty has released a stunning Festive Complete Eye Palette quad called Gold Shimmer. It’s a really pretty palette for the holiday season. The complete set features four different, complementary shades that comes in a makeup bag and includes three brushes! I was immediately drawn to Burberry Festive Complete Eye Palette because of the pretty gold hues but also because it’s simple yet very classy. The gold packaging is a stunner of course.
The Burberry Runway Palette in Gold Shimmer No. 28, is a limited-edition shade for the festive season. The quality of the eye shadows in the palette feels very smooth, buttery and nicely pigmented. They might not be the most unique shades but I’m loving the gold eye shadow palette and they do create some very beautiful looks. All the shades are shimmery in this palette and feels so soft and luxurious, plus they adheres very well to the lids. The color is easy to build, layer, and blend. I know there are a lot of folks who doesn’t like wearing shimmer on the eyes but I still love a good shimmer. It is a slight warmer-toned set of shades that is very wearable, so if you tend to like your warm, shimmery shades, then you may like this. The only real complaint I have about this palette is that I wish there was a bit more variation between the top two shades because although different, they can look very similar. I think any neutral makeup lover would love this especially those who like a more subtle look. The shimmer is very fine; visible on the skin but not frosted.
The swatches and pictures are very true to color of the palette and though they look a bit sheer in the swatch, they do show up well on the eyes. I will try and post an Instagram pic of me wearing this. I’m sure you can find dupes for the palette but the more I wear it, the more I really love how simple and easy it is to wear and think it’s a great one to wear for any occasion.
