BURBERRY Gold Glow Fragranced Luminising Powder

burberry_goldglowpowder-BURBERRY-Gold-Glow-Fragranced-Luminising-Powder001During the VIB Rouge Sale, I picked up the limited edition illuminating powder from the Burberry’s Christmas collection. The Burberry Festive Beauty collection is all glowy and I’m loving it. This year for the Holidays, their Festive Beauty Collection 2015 is all about gold and features everything from the brand’s signature iconic fragrance.burberry_goldglowpowder-BURBERRY-Gold-Glow-Fragranced-Luminising-Powder005The powder has a beautiful embossing on it and comes in a velvet pouch with the classic Burberry print and a pocket for both the powder and the brush. The brush is thin, narrow and soft, but I actually prefer using it for contouring because it works great for that. The yellowed gold packaging is beautiful. It is fragranced with the My Burberry scent, which does not bother me, but if you don’t like scented powders or have a sensitive smell, then you may want to skip this.burberry_goldglowpowder-BURBERRY-Gold-Glow-Fragranced-Luminising-Powder002Burberry Gold Glow Fragranced Luminising Powder is a finely-milled highlighter that feels very luxurious and gives you a natural glow. The color is quite unique and looks more like a dirty beige antique-gold with a sheen. This is a rather lovely but subtle highlighter and it has a soft, smooth and silky texture that blends beautifully on the skin without emphasizing pores. There was a bit of powder kick-up so I would suggest lightly dabbing your brush in the pan. It gives the skin a luminous glow that highlight the skin with subtle, illuminating particles, which is easy to achieve as it is quite sheer; however, I believe it is also buildable. It wore fairly well on me for about 8 hours and really complements my medium/olive skin tone.burberry_goldglowpowder-BURBERRY-Gold-Glow-Fragranced-Luminising-Powder003burberry_goldglowpowder-BURBERRY-Gold-Glow-Fragranced-Luminising-Powder004Blended swatch. As you can see it is a very beautiful subtle highlighter that works great for my yellow undertone.

BURBERRY Gold Glow Fragranced Luminising Powder is still available at The Bay for purchase.
