BURBERRY Lip Velvet Lipsticks

BURBERRY Lip Velvet Lipsticks

There is something about Burberry’s Lip Velvet Lipsticks. Burberry Lip Velvet* is the modern way to wear matte lipstick, inspired by the most opulent of English fabrics. Burberry innovation brings a new finish for lips: a velvety matte radiance. Iconic pigments provide incredibly dense and luminous colour; gel technology gives weightless and comfortable long-wear performance; while triglycerides and wild rose continuously hydrate. This richly pigmented lip colour glides on effortlessly, delivering a creamy, soft matte finish.

I have two shades, Coral Orange No. 411 and Fuchsia Pink No. 418. The formula is breathable, weightless, and fragrance free. These shades are so perfect for summer. I absolutely adore the matte charcoal packaging on these lipsticks with the magnetic cap and the Burberry signature plaid embossment on the actual bullet of the lipstick.

These lipsticks are described as effortlessly breathable, protective and elegant and are comfortable, non-drying, with a lasting, velvety finish. These are in no way drying on the lips and feels so comfortable to wear. I would even go as far as saying for a “long lasting matte” lipstick, these feel surprisingly hydrating on the lips. These go on so smooth and creamy, and definitely not drying. The pigmentation of both the lipsticks are semi opaque to buildable and they layer up beautifully. They have very minimal transfer and lasts for hours through drinking and even eating. There is no feathering or bleeding and does leave a nice even stain when it does wear. Another surprising thing is that it is moisturizing enough that I do not need to apply any lip balm underneath or on top. However, I definitely recommend you exfoliate your lips before wearing these lipsticks as they will emphasize dry chapped lips.

There are 13 shades available and they can be found at The Bay.com, and Sephora, CAD $38.00 / US $34.00.

Have you tried any of these Lip Velvet Lip Colour? What do you think of them?
