So I have being hearing a lot of buzz about Charlotte Tilbury for a while now. It is a UK based brand that finally came to the USA. It is a luxury brand that performs like a luxury product and I think that the packing is also very luxurious. I purchased a few things from the line because, well the packaging looks quite stunning, the colors are beautiful and I wanted to try the line out myself so I could provide my feedback on what I thought, and you know blogger duty call, so I had no choice but to provide a review for you guys.
The Dolce Vita Palette: This is a warm luxury palette with four eyeshadows – a beautiful light champagne shimmery color with a satin finish, a reddish burgundy brown with coppery shimmer with a satin finish, a golden copper color with glitter and a bit sparkly, and a bronze shadow with gold shimmer. These shades complement each other very well.
The packaging is a beautiful shiny Oxblood color with rose gold detailing.
The Dolce Vita palette is inspired by screen sirens Sophia Loren, Monica Belluci, and Penelope Cruz, featuring rich burgundy and golden shades that are just perfect for the Fall and Winter.
This is a very versatile palette where you can create many different looks, from a soft subtle everyday look to a more dramatic night look. All the colors can be worn alone or together and you can also incorporate other warm neutrals from your collection, including some warm mattes creating many versatile looks.
All of the shadows have a soft buttery texture, pigmented and blendable. They have a nice smooth, even application, with very little fallout, except for the glittery copper shade (though not too chunky), I found that it was a bit difficult to pick up the product (I use my finger to pat it on my lids or alternate between a compact flat shader brush). You can layer the colors for more intensity or blend them for something more subtle.
The wear time is pretty decent as I usually apply my makeup from around 6:30am for work and I remove it anywhere between 5-9pm and I found that it wore very well with a good primer and stays in place without any creasing.
***OK, JUST ONE #SELFIE
Have you checked out the Charlotte Tilbury’s line as yet? What are your favorites and recommendations? I chose the above colors based on pictures and swatches I saw online and on Instagram and also colors that I thought would complement my skin tone which can be a hit or miss at times.
