CHARLOTTE TILBURY THE ICON PALETTE

CHARLOTTE TILBURY THE ICON PALETTE

Charlotte Tilbury launched her beautiful The Icon Eyeshadow Palette and it’s just that… beautiful!

Once I saw the palette on Instagram, I was fairly certain I’d be taking this limited edition Palette home with me, even without seeing the swatches, I could tell it was going to be beautiful and I was going to love it.

The shades are divided into four different electric eye looks and are much like the Instant Palettes. We have Day Eyes, Date Eyes, Diva Eyes and Disco Eyes. You don’t have to stick rigidly to the looks though because most of the shades compliment each other very well. You can mix and match the colours to suit your every mood. The palette is designed for every occasion and every mood! Inspired by the spotlights, rock stars and dancers Charlotte partied with at the Ku Club in Ibiza, these multi-coloured, multi-use shades glide across the eyes easily.

The palette is a 12-pan eyeshadow palette with a mix of shimmers and satin-mattes. It has a beautiful texture that can be used either wet or dry and feels soft to the touch. Pigment was really good with very easy to blend textures. Not all of the shadows (mostly Day Eyes as you can see from the swatches) contain the same level of pigment but overall I’m pleased with the palette. I did not find that I got a lot of fallout. There are enough colors in here to give you a wide range of complete eye looks.

I’ve played with this palette for a few weeks now and think it’s a beautiful option for those who want a little bit of everything in a palette. Lasting power is really good – stays put on top of a cream shadow base, doesn’t budge and layers beautifully. The shimmery eyeshadows tend to be easier to blend out and use.

It is absolutely exquisite to look at and the colours are bold and versatile. Overall, this is a beautiful palette that performs well, blends and layers with perfection and has every color you can think of for so many different looks.

The Charlotte Tilbury The Icon Eyeshadow Palette retails for $85 for 12 shadows. You can find it now at Sephora which is where I purchased mine.
