Face Mask Favorites

favourite-facemasks-Face-Mask-Favorites002Taking care of skin is extremely important especially as the temperature changes and the cold weather has a habit of wreaking havoc on our faces. Usually when I use mask, it depends on how my skin is acting and other times, I make a real effort to take care of my skin. Sometimes, no matter how diligent we may be with our skincare regimen, our complexions take a turn for the worse. Face masks penetrate deep within the skin to unclog pores and remove impurities resulting in a smooth and even complexion. I also like to keep things simple and use what works for my skin which went from oily to combination/dry that tends to get red, feels tight and flakes around my nose especially during the colder months. So today I share my two favorite face masks that I cannot live without and an honourable mention (I don’t have this one)!favourite-facemasks-Face-Mask-Favorites001Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask to Clear Pores
I love this mask! I’ve been using this mask for two years or more and have repurchased several times. The charcoal is the key ingredient in absorbing the dirt and debris to draw out deep-dwelling pore-cloggers. It is infused with activated charcoal and the formula also contains White China clay that absorbs environmental toxins, while lecithin dissolves impurities. This mask has really helped to detox my skin and clogged pores and has definitely helped reduce irritated skin, clearing out the pores and also helping blemishes to clear up. It is non-drying and does a great job of deep cleaning.

Caudalie Glycolic Peel
This is a spa treatment at home! The Caudalie Glycolic Peel Mask is perfect for those with a dull complexion and is in search for a boost of radiance. For those who have spots, imperfections, uneven skin tone, and dull complexion and need an instant boost of radiance, then you may like this mask. It’s formulated with natural origin ingredients, which include viniferine, papaya enzymes, and glycolic acid that work together to brighten, lighten, and create an even, luminous complexion. It does make my skin smoother and brighter. If you are new to AHAs or chemical peeling, this is a good one to try because it is mild enough. It gently exfoliates the skin and leaves it very soft, radiant and smooth. I also love that it doesn’t dry my skin out but it does tighten my pores, renews skin texture, and leaves me glowing!

Fresh Rose Face Mask
I don’t have this mask anymore as I used up the last of it a few months ago. I have used this face mask on and off for a few years now and I love it. I have gone through a couple jars of this. It is a hydrating and toning gel mask that delivers moisture. We all know that moisture is essential for healthy skin, and this is very gentle and really does a good job hydrating my skin and making it look brighter.
