FALL FABULOUS

FALL FABULOUS

We’ve been in full on Fall mode for a few weeks now and gone are the heat waves and blistering sun. I have officially gotten into embracing Fall’s cooler temps and crisper winds. Okay, Okay, who am I kidding, I detest the cold but I’m loving the Fall fashion/makeup so that counts for something right?? Fall is not only the perfect time for a wardrobe refresher, but it’s also the perfect time to refresh our makeup as well. So today, I wanted to share some of my favorite fall colours/picks with you. I only included one lipstick (ABH Allison) as I already have a post here on all my fall picks.

As the weather gets colder, a great way to fight dullness and dryness is by swapping out our primers for hydrating ones. The Marc Jacobs Undercover Hydrating Coconut Primer is my go to when it comes to hydrating primers. It gives hydration to my skin without feeling greasy and sits well under foundation.

Illuminating foundations may seem like it’s made for summer, but it’s actually a preference in the fall for me. A foundation with a luminizing formula will add a bit of glow and also because they’re not drying, I like using them during the colder months. A couple of my picks are L’Oreal Lumi Cushion Foundation and Becca Aqua Luminous Perfecting Foundation.

There are a few staples that I always go back to every fall like the Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic in Sex on Fire blush, which is a great neutral blush with some mauve/brown mix, but I also like mixing it up as well with this NYX Sweet Cheeks Blush palette* that is so versatile and goes well with a wide range of looks as well as can be worn anytime of the season. MAC Warm Soul which gives the most beautiful burnt peach rose gold colour to the cheeks. And I feel like you can never go wrong with Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow. This is such a perfect contour and highlight that just works with everything for me.

A great go-to fall scent is this Thierry Mugler scent in Angel*; a very bold and sexy feminine scent that leaves behind a sweet, sultry, musky and perfectly balanced fragrance that is just elegant.

Cool neutrals are great for fall as well as the richer plums and burgundy colours. For eyes I love a good neutral shimmer and a favorite is NARS Earthshine; it works as an easy all over wash to brighten the eyes. Urban Decay’s Naked Ultimate Basics palette is also a great option as you get both cool-to-warm neutrals in your corner.

To keep your skin looking radiant as the day wears on and to prevent that tight drying feeling that we can sometimes get with the colder temps, Caudalie Beauty Elixir is my go to facial mist.

Fall is also the perfect time to wear scarves and wraps, not only are they warm but they always look effortlessly chic!

Make sure to let me know what your go to fall must haves are!

xo ❤
