Glossier has expanded its reach and has now entered a whole new category of body care. The brand who will be coming soon to Sephora online and in-store, will now be selling deodorant.

So what’s the difference between antiperspirants and deodorants?⁣
Antiperspirants contain Aluminum—blocking sweat from reaching the skin’s surface, which keeps them dry. Deodorants do not contain Aluminum and don’t prevent sweat—they work to neutralize smells and soak up excess moisture (perspiration)⁣.

While only a few years ago natural deodorants were never a thing even though I have been wearing them since the early 2000s, they have quickly become very popular and an everyday staple in your bathroom cabinet. With brands such as Caudalie, Nécessaire, Sol de Janeiro and Kosas, it’s no surprise that another cult beauty brand such as Glossier has jumped on the bandwagon. So, here’s the scoop on their brand-new Deodorant:

Glossier Deodorant is formulated without aluminum, baking soda, exfoliating acids or water—AKA things that can cause bad odor, disrupt the skin’s pH level and cause irritation. From start to finish, they formulated their deodorant with key ingredients to help to condition underarms and absorb excess moisture, keeping odor at bay and helping you feel drier.

Here are some of ingredients that have you covered in this Deodorant.

Superfruit Elderberry Extract and Coconut Oil: Keeps underarm skin nourished and conditioned, helping to reduce odors.

Potato Starch: A naturally-derived ingredient that absorbs moisture, helping your pits to feel more dry.

Magnesium Hydroxide: A pH-adjuster and absorbent that helps to reduce those dreaded sweat stains, letting your clothes stay fresher, longer.

The case is recyclable, reusable and refillable too, so when you finish with a deodorant stick, recycle it then pop in a new Refill Stick. Ooh I love this idea!

The deodorant will be available in three unique scents (*new Sandstone, Glossier You and Orange Blossom Neroli), plus unscented for those days you want to smell like yourself.

Sandstone: developed by the same fragrance house that created Glossier You and has notes of Sandalwood, Clary Sage and Fig Leaf.

Glossier You: their iconic personal fragrance reimagined for your underarms, has notes of Pink Pepper, Iris, Ambrox, and Ambrette.

Orange Blossom Neroli: most known as the hallmark of their Body Hero Collection has notes of Pear, Mandarin and Cypress.

Glossier Deodorant will be up for grabs via the brand’s website and in-stores January 17th.
