GOSH Forever Eye Shadow Metallic Eye Shadow Stick Review

GOSH-Forever-Eye-Shadow-Metallic-Eye-Shadow-Stick-Review-swatches001GOSH-Forever-Eye-Shadow-Metallic-Eye-Shadow-Stick-Review-swatches002I usually never bother with eyeshadow sticks but lately I have been eyeing a few cream shadows as well as some shadow sticks and when I saw these GOSH Forever Eyeshadow Sticks at Shoppers Drug Mart and swatched them, they were oh so creamy and pretty I decided to pick up four of them. I think these might be from their spring/summer 2014 collection but I only found these recently…why am I only just finding these? (Sad face here).

GOSH describes these as creamy, velvety soft eye shadow stick that applies and blends like a dream, delivering maximum, pure colour that doesn’t rub off thank s to special siliconic filming polymer and amino acids. With an ultra-smooth and non-oily finish that lasts for hours, the water-repellent formula is also preservative and paraben-free.

These Forever Eyeshadow Sticks are creamy metallic eye shadows, pigmented, soft, and super blendable. I love how lightweight they feel and how they blend so effortlessly into the skin. They go on really nicely, last incredibly well and have a lovely soft, metallic finish with minimal shimmer. You get a bit of play time with these, because once applied, you have about 30-45 seconds to blend into the skin before it sets and you can layer for more opaque color.

I picked up four shades that really appealed to me: 02 Beige – a nude beige toned gold, 03 Light Copper – copper with brown undertones, 04 Brown – a pretty chocolate brown, and 06 Plum – a deep purple with silver undertones that also looks iridescent. Beige is the subtlest of the four with a bit of fall-out and not as opaque when blended; while Plum also sheers out a lot with some fall-out when blended and the most metallic of the four. My personal favorite of the four is the Copper but I must say they are all so beautiful and I am really enjoying them. I don’t really have a lot of eyeshadow sticks to compare these to expect for my Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Shadow Stick in Shadow and I actually find these to be a bit creamier than Bobbi Brown.

These are twist up pencils so there is no need for sharpening. They have wonderful pigmentation, and are multi-functional, so they can be worn on their own, as well as eyeliners and eyeshadow bases. On me, they wore for about 7 hours before creasing or fading. Overall, these are great and I am really impressed with them. If you like a metallic finish and something that you on easily throw on when you’re in a hurry, then these are worth checking out. Overall rating: 4.1/5

GOSH Forever Eyeshadow Sticks are available at Shopper Drug Mart and retails for CAD $14.00.
