Today, I will be sharing a homemade face mask that I have been using since I was in my 20s, that will leave your skin feeling fresh, clean, and looking bright.

When I think of lemon and honey together, the first thing that comes to mind is a soothing tea for a sore throat or for colds. However, together, they also work wonders for the skin. Lemon juice contains L-asorbic acid, a natural astringent which dries out the acne; plus it has healing and toning properties such as AHA and BHA that can help clear up acne, blackheads, and discoloration. Honey is a natural antioxidant and contains antibacterial properties which help to fade acne scarring and dark marks. This all natural honey and lemon mask is great for all skin types including sensitive skin.

What You’ll Need:
½ Organic Lemon
1 tbsp. Organic Raw Honey
Mixing Bowl
Spoon

The Steps:
1. Mix ingredients together until it’s a liquid consistency.
2. Apply all over the face, avoiding the eye area; and let mask sit for 15-30 minutes (depending on the sensitivity of your skin).
3. Rinse off with lukewarm water.
4. Splash cold water on your face to close your pores; and gently pat face dry with a soft towel.
5. Follow up with your favorite moisturizer and/or serum.
