I’m excited to share a skincare favorite from Merit today! I have used and loved so many things from Merit so I’m excited to share their serum with you. They have a lot of great everyday staples that anyone will love. The Great Skin Instant Glow Serum is a lightweight, bi-phase serum that instantly hydrates and plumps skin for a healthy glow, as well as prepped skin for makeup. It was designed to complement The Minimalist but can be used with any complexion product to give skin a healthy glow.
The lightweight, bronze-colored formula has a watery consistency that feels satiny when smoothed over skin. The formula blends four types of hyaluronic acid to target multiple layers of skin to lock in hydration for all-day moisture, niacinamide helps brighten skin and smooth texture, caffeine-rich cacao seed extract stimulates blood flow for an immediate plumping effect and rounding up the roster, Japanese goldthread root helps soothe skin and helps supports a healthy skin barrier over time.
Since the serum separates naturally, it’s important to shake it up before using in order to get the full benefits. I then pump a couple pumps into my palm before rubbing and patting it into my face. At first, I was taken aback by the texture, which is much thinner and runnier than your traditional serum. That’s because it’s not exactly a traditional serum. The bi-phase formula is meant to be shaken then applied either under or over moisturizer.

I’ve been using this serum for a few months now and I’m so impressed with it. It feels so nourishing and hydrating on the skin, and adds an instant glow. It wears great underneath different moisturizers and makeup. I can really see a difference in the way my skin looks beneath my makeup after I apply Great Skin. It gives the same soft, subtle shimmer as a highlighter would in all of the right places. It just leaves my skin rejuvenated and glowing.
