Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate

Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate (2) I love facial oils and if you’ve been reading my blog for a bit, then you already know. This oil has been on my “Face Oils To Try” list for a while now so when I saw it at The Bay, I wouldn’t resist snagging it along with a few other things from the brand as well as the Daily Reviving Concentrate – full review will be on all the other Kiehl’s goodies when I’ve fully test them. I mentioned this oil in my January Beauty Favorites, so today’s post is dedicated to a full review on this little gem!

This lightweight, readily-absorbed elixir effectively restores skin’s healthy appearance overnight, resulting in smoother, more radiant complexion by morning. Enriched with Squalane, a botanical lipid similar in molecular structure to natural skin lipids, Evening Primrose Oil, rich in Omega-6 Fatty Acids and Essential moisture to depleted skin. These naturally derived oils instantly penetrate the skin surface to help replenish it. It is also free from Paraben and Mineral Oil.

This is a great hydrating face oil that is infused with lavender fragrance and lightweight on the skin. It absorbed quickly and makes my skin healthy and supple. I love how nourishing it is for my skin and think it works better now that it’s winter with my skin been a bit drier. While I didn’t see a dramatic difference on my skin in terms of reducing spots and/or fine lines, it does regenerate the skin to give a smoother, more radiant complexion (as it claims) and it is really great for dry or dull skin because of the nourishment it provides. It didn’t cause any breakouts, irritate my skin or clog my pores and these are things that are prone to happen because of my sensitive skin. At night, I apply 2-3 drops of the Midnight Recovery Concentrate after I’ve finished applying everything else such as my serum, night cream and eye cream, to enhance nighttime recovery and provide vital nutrients to smooth and restore my skin while I sleep. My con: rather pricey at CAD $53.00 / US $46.00 for 1 oz.

If you’re looking for a light hydrating facial oil, then you may want to consider giving this a whirl!

Have you tried this facial oil?

xx
