Lancôme TEINT MIRACLE FOUNDATION REVIEW

The claims: This oil-free, fragrance-free formula with SPF 15 sunscreen is made with Lancôme’s Aura-Inside™ technology, which recreates the true, natural light of perfect skin. Its lightweight texture enriched with soothing rose extract provides 18 hours of hydration and sheer to moderate coverage for a natural finish without a cakey effect. It creates a complexion that looks beautifully bare and lit from within.

This foundation has been on my “To Try” list for a while now, so when Lancôme had a promotion at my local department store for a gift with purchase, I saw my opportunity to snatch it up and try it out.

This foundation contains 37% water, is non-comedogenic, non-irritating and does not cause break-outs.

My Shade: Bisque 5C

Packaging: It has a very nice glass packaging and the best part is that it comes with a pump. The bottle is very nice and sleek and dispenses just the right amount of product. It may not be ideal for traveling though because of the glass packaging.

Texture and Coverage: This is a lightweight makeup foundation that provides light to medium coverage depending on how much and how you apply it (brush or sponge). The foundation glides over my skin effortlessly; leaving an even toned glow. It is not too heavy and feels great against my skin. The application is very smooth and goes on seamlessly. It blends in very well you can barely tell you’re wearing makeup and it is perfect for everyday wear.  I have combination skin that is more on the dry side especially as the weather gets colder and I find this drew attention to some of my dry patches that I would want to cover up. I think this may work great for people with oily skin.

Finish: It has a very natural and slight powdery finish.  I wish it was a little more moisturizing though as it didn’t feel as hydrating on my face as I thought it would. However, I find that it corrected discoloration from old blemish scars quite decently and covers redness around my nose and chin and wasn’t cakey at all. I find that it really does leave a pretty finish on the skin with a natural looking glow. It hasn’t broken me out and I’ve been wearing it for a few weeks now. My skin looks flawless and has a very natural look with a great finish. As mentioned above, I think it could be a bit drying on some skin types, as it is more matte than dewy on my combination-dry skin.

Wear Time: On me it wears for about 8-9 hours very well throughout the workday with or without primers and stays looking fresh even towards the end of the day. I didn’t find that it settles into my fine lines. At the end of the day, I did get a bit shiny in the T-zone even with a setting powder but that isn’t unusual for me.

Overall, I am really enjoying this foundation, I just have to make sure I moisturize very well prior to applying the foundation.
