Live Clean Fresh Face Smoothing Facial Scrub Review

live clean fresh face smoothing facial scrubToday I am going to be doing a review on Live Clean Fresh Face Smoothing Facial Scrub that I purchased at Walmart a few months back. Since I am almost completely finish with the tube, I thought now is the perfect time to give my feedback on the product.

Live Clean is a Canadian company that is known for their collection of eco-friendly, plant-based personal care products for the whole family. This eco-friendly face care line called Live Clean (Fresh Face) was introduced a while back; however, I only stumbled upon it on my visit to Walmart a few months ago when I was in dire need of a facial scrub and decided to give it a try because of all the organic benefits. Additionally, I was already using the Live Clean Brand like their shampoos and conditioners which I quite like. I also use the Live Clean Baby Collection on my girls (age 2.5 & 6 years old), particularly the Body Wash, Shampoo and Lotion.

Some interesting facts of the Live Clean (Fresh Face) collection:
-completely vegan with no animal products or animal by-products
-cruelty-free; none of the products or their ingredients has been tested on animals
-free of phosphates
-recyclable bottles
-outer paper cartons are made with 80% post-consumer recycled materials with the paper source being manufactured with 100% solar and wind power
-free of Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS), Diethanolamine (DEA), parabens and phthalates
-dye/colour free | no fragrance or fragrance from natural essential oils
-enriched with certified organic botanical extracts: lavender, cucumber, chamomile, milk thistle, mallow, aloe and buckthorn.

Now on to the review: It feels a bit like a mud mask with very fine granules breads in it that is very gentle on the skin. It is basically a very gentle exfoliator that uses non-abrasive micro fine granules of cornmeal to soften and smooth the skin. The scrub is gentle and effective and face is left feeling clean, smooth and fresh.

The scent is very light and mild, sort of like a clean fresh smell with a thick creamy texture. I use it at least three times per week because it is so gentle.

Overall, it is a basic exfoliant that does a decent job of removing dead skin cells off my face leaving it feeling smoother, cleaner and moisturized.

Price: CAD $12.99 – 4.9 oz. However, depending on where you purchase, the price may varies a bit.
