L’oreal True Match Lumi Powder Glow Illuminator Review

loreal_roselumipowder-Loreal-TrueMatch-Lumi-Powder-glowIlluminator-rose-review-strobing-001As previously mentioned in my review of the Liquid Glow Illuminator, L’Oréal has released some new highlighters as part of their True Match Lumi collection. The True Match Lumi Powder Glow Illuminators come in three different shades as well: Ice, Rose and Golden.

L’Oreal Lumi Powder Glow Illuminator (Rose) is a light shimmery pink beige with warm undertones that contains sparkles and micro-glitters. It has beautiful shades of cream, pink, gold, and peach and acts as a blush, highlighter and illuminating powder and is said to enhance yellow, peachy, pink or blue tones. Each compact has four complimentary highlight shades inside and the bottom of the compact has a mirror and small flat brush. This has great pigmentation and the texture was soft and smooth but I also found that it’s a drier powder where the shimmer separates from the powder and once applied to skin, you can see flex of glitter that is noticeable.

Also on my NC40 skin tone it turned out a bit too white on me and it did emphasized the skin’s texture. It lasted 6 hours on me the few times I’ve worn it but the sparkles traveled all over the face. The highlighter is decent and I like it, but I don’t love it. Overall rating: 3.8/5   You can find these at your local drugstores; I purchased mine at Walmart for CAD $12.99.
