Maybelline Color Molten Eyeshadow Duo in Nude Rush Review & Swatches

Maybelline Eye Studio Color Fusion Molten Cream Eyeshadow In Nude Rush
Maybelline Eye Studio Color Fusion Molten Cream Eyeshadow In Nude Rush

So I have been on a Maybelline kick the past few weeks as you can see from my recent reviews. Today, we are talking about the new Maybelline Color Molten Cream Powder Eyeshadows from the Eye Studio line. They are really interesting with a unique texture.

I hadn’t done or seen any reviews on these and when I initially purchased this duo, I actually thought it was a powder formula. They look like powder, and then when you touch it, it melts instantly into a cream.

Nude Rush (300) is a light peachy pink and a soft tan color. It barely had any color payoff as the colors are sheer, lightweight and very subtle and therefore the pigmentation for each shade is soft. The texture feels bouncy, and I immediately thought of the Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blushes. It also has the consistency of the Almay shadow softies. Because the formula is so lightweight on the lids, the consistency makes it a little difficult to blend out. After only a couple hours of wear time, it began to crease and I find that the formula creases a lot even with eye primer and the color just fades away. Overall I was not impressed with the formulation.

There is absolutely no pigmentation in these, as you can see from my swatches below. This swatch is with 3-4 swipes of each shade. It is really too bad because the shades are really pretty.
