Today I’m excited to share with you a review of a few pieces I’ve been loving from Rare Beauty.

Liquid Touch Weightless Foundation (CAD $38 / US $29)

Available in 48 shades, Liquid Touch Weightless Foundation has a very diverse shade ranges on the market, which I absolutely love. This foundation is meant to feel weightless, breathable, and like your own skin. The product is packaged in a matte, transparent bottle with a round, screw-top lid. Rather than utilizing a pump, the foundation also features a thick, doe-foot applicator.

I really like this foundation a lot. My shade match is 240W and it’s a perfect match for me. The consistency is comparable to that of a serum. As for coverage, it is classified as a medium coverage with a natural finish. It’s hydrating but has a beautiful soft dry down with a natural glow. I love how lightweight it feels on the skin and it offers natural coverage. It can easily be built up to cover my acne/sun scars without looking cakey.

Stay Vulnerable Melting Cream Blush (CAD $27 / US $21)

Available in 5 shades, I picked up Nearly Neutral – soft neutral pink. The formula is supposed to be a liquid-like cream blush that melts into a second skin for the most natural-looking wash of soft-focus color.

The texture is thin and emollient, but once it dries down, it turns to a more powder-like finish that was satin, not overly dewy/luminous or matte either – it was somewhere in between. The coverage is sheer to semi-sheer with some ability to build up coverage. It looks very natural and effortless. It can get splotchy so be careful not to go over the same spot too many times so it doesn’t lift underneath. Using my fingers didn’t work but a stippling or dense brush worked beautifully for me. Figure out the best technique for you and it’ll look so beautiful on the cheeks.

Soft Pinch Liquid Blush (CAD $26 / US $20)

There are eight colors to choose from — four in matte and four in radiant. My pick is— Joy. The dewy muted peach tone is universally flattering on all skin tones and has a radiant finish. The blush is supposed to have a weightless, long-lasting liquid blush that blends and builds beautifully for a soft, healthy flush. Available in matte and dewy finishes.

First off, these are very pigmented blushes that build up quite quickly and a little goes a long way here! In order to control application, I would recommend lightly dotting the doe-foot applicator once per cheek then use a sponge or brush for a seamless finish. Just like the Stay Vulnerable Melting Cream Blush, I prefer using a brush for diffusing and spreading the product instead of my fingertips as fingertips leave slight imprints and more prone to lifting the product.

These have a thin creamy texture and it sheers out nicely as you work with it. The pigment really lasts throughout the day and I love this because it gives you such a beautiful flush to the skin without making you look cakey or blotchy.
