A Sheer Skin Tint that is lightweight with skin-nourishing ingredients.
I’m not much of a fan of full-coverage foundation—my go to is medium coverage but the last couple years I’ve found myself opting for more lighter coverage especially skin tints and tinted moisturizers. I find that they work wonderful for my skin type as they offer a sheer layer of coverage with hydrating ingredients and blendable formulas.
Skin Tints have been dominating the market as of late, and I’ve made my way through a couple of the formulas out there — from Chanel Les Beiges Water-Fresh Complexion Touch, Rose Inc Skin Enhance Luminous Skin Tint Serum, Kosas Tinted Face Oil Comfy Skin Tint and bareMinerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Moisturizer. One that I’ve been head over heels obsessed with is Summer Fridays Sheer Skin Tint. I have a full review for you today! I’ve been wearing the skin tint almost every day since I bought it end of last year and it has been my go-to.
Summer Friday’s Sheer Skin Tint launched last summer and was met with rave reviews. There are 10 shades available. I’ve been really loving the new foundation and my usual shade 4 is a great match. This lightweight skin tint adds a touch of sheer color and hydration. This formula offers beautiful lightweight coverage with a lightweight feel, natural finish and impressive lasting power. I’m very impressed how well it covered up my redness and evened out my skin tone.
It gives the skin a plump fresh glow in a healthy kind of way. It’s formulated with Tiger Grass, Humectant Blend (Glycerin and Hyaluronic Acid) and Rich Emollients (Squalane, Vitamin E, Safflower, and Avocado Oils). It truly just evens out the skin tone without looking cakey in any way. Since the texture is so sheer, you can build it up to your desired shade.
I’m a fan of the Summer Fridays Sheer Skin Tint. The shade range leaves a little to be desired as there are only ten hues to choose from–fair to deep, but if you love a skin tint as I do, I think it’s worth checking out if you haven’t already.
This definitely won’t replace your fuller-coverage or my medium coverage foundations, but it did a great job at covering a few blemishes and redness around my mouth areas. You can use some concealer on a couple areas, but for the most part, I didn’t feel like I needed any.
