Fragrance is an incredibly personal aspect of our daily beauty routines. Notes one might find is their perfect scent may smell entirely different from someone else. While some of us prefer fresh or fruity florals, other may prefer warm musks, woodsy and sensual spices as their own signature scents. Fragrances at times can also smell different on different people.

With millions of fragrances on the market, discovering the best perfumes can be really difficult but there’s something really exciting about finding a new fragrance. I personally like to wear scent based on the season I’m in. In summer, I gravitate towards more floral and fresh scents while in the colder months, I like warmer musky scents.

With so many options lining the shelves of department stores, it can be hard to know which one will hit the right notes for you. Created by makeup-artist and blogger Huda Kattan, the Kayali Vanilla 28 ($123) is a warm and sweet gourmands scent with notes of vanilla orchid, tonka absolute, amber woods, musk, brown sugar. Beautifully balanced oriental notes of musk, amber, patchouli and brown sugar form the distinguished wood base of this utterly sublime scent. Many influencers describe it as sweet.

Phlur Missing Person Eau de Parfum

This is a clean smelling scent; it is clean and cozy and a scent that sounds like you can wear it year-round. One of the fragrance descriptions I’ve seen for this is: If nude were a perfume, this would be it. Phlur Missing Person Eau de Parfum ($96), is a warm and spicy scent with notes of skin musk, bergamot nectar and blonde wood.

Tom Ford Lost Cherry

I own another TF scents that I adore but haven’t tried this one. TikTok users says Tom Ford Lost Cherry ($390) is a bougie expensive fragrance. This warm gourmands’ scents have notes of black cherry, tonka bean and almond.

Kilian Love, Don’t Be Shy

One of TikTok’s signature scents, it is described as a warm amber base, By Kilian Love, Don’t Be Shy ($325) has notes of neroli, orange blossom and marshmallow. This warm scent sounds heavenly and sounds like a perfect scent for the colder months. This one is also another splurge!

Fenty Eau de Parfum

Fenty Eau de Parfum, priced at ($140), dropped in August of last year and immediately sold out. It is loved by many and TikTok users can’t get enough either.  The coveted magnolia, musk, and spice-noted perfume is a warm floral scent. Unlike so many other celebrity scents, Fenty’s fragrance doesn’t smell sticky-sweet or overtly floral. It’s a bold, elevated, sensual scent.

Maison Francis Kurkdijan Baccarat Rouge 540

Quite the splurge, this is a very popular one that has taken off in popularity on TikTok, the Maison Francis Kurkdijan Baccarat Rouge 540 ($325) is a woody scent. Breezy jasmine facets, radiant saffron boost the ambergris mineral notes and the woody tones of freshly-cut cedar. Bright and sleek, Baccarat Rouge 540 eau de parfum caresses the skin like an amber and woody floral whisper.

Maison Margiela Replica By The Fireplace

When I think of this scent, I think warm and cozy vibes. I own this scent and it is by far one of my most loved and used scents. Replica By The Fireplace ($144) is a TikTok worthy scent. This warm scent combines orange flower, clove oil, and chestnut atop a comforting vanilla fragrance to re-create the signature warmth and coziness of a crackling fire.

YSL Black Opium

This fragrance has been around for as long as I can remember. I remember my Mom wearing this perfume and to this date it is still one of her favorites. Though YSL Black Opium ($110) been around for a while, it has become very popular on TikTok. It has notes of black coffee, white flowers and vanilla and it is emboldened by the strong scent of coffee and captivates the senses with a sweet vanilla base and a burst of floral at the heart of the fragrance. One of my go-to scents.

Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Crush Cheirosa ’62

Currently out of stock on Sephora, Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Crush Cheirosa ’62 Body Mist ($35) is one of my go-to summery scents and love the price point on this one. TikTok-ers love this fragrance mist, with an alluring pistachio, vanilla and salted caramel scent, to be used on body and hair.
