There’s a new Canadian cosmetics line in town and they recently launched their lipstick collection. Launched by two Montreal sisters, Vicki and Maria Barillaro, TōN Cosmetics aims to decode the beauty world for its customers, leading them to their perfect colour match. Made right here in Canada (I love supporting Canadian brands) and shipped directly from their Quebec warehouse, the two sisters have developed a brand new lipstick brand with one main goal – to help you find your perfect nude! Their first collection is a line of nude lipsticks that features nine shade variations. There is a colour for everyone. What’s also fantastic is a quick test you can do on their website which will introduce you to your perfect lip colour match. I took the test and my perfect match was Medium Warm 1!
The packaging of the lippies are gorgeous! But first let’s starts with the box that the lipsticks come in. The box has a hexagonal closure, and the lipstick tubes are white with the top having a pretty rhinestone jewel. These will certainly look gorgeous on your vanity!
Available in 9 shades, TōN released their new nude lipsticks shades. The formula of these are creamy and smooth. The lipsticks glides on effortlessly and I found them to be moisturizing as well as pigmented; one swipe and you get a ton of color. They lasted anywhere from 3-4 hours on the lips. The scent smells wonderful and my first thought was that it reminds me of MAC classic scent. They are all very comfortable to wear, not drying at all and you don’t even need a balm underneath. These have a cream finish expect for a couple with a little shimmer in them, nothing frosty. If you’re like me and hate that dried out matte look, these lip colors will give you that full coverage without looking fake or dry. They have a full coverage without feeling thick.

This is an impressive lipstick launch. The formula performs well and I love the sleek packaging. I love the idea of the collection being grouped by skin tones so one is able to find their perfect match; however, I think if you love lipsticks and makeup in general, then one should not be bound by just sticking to that one nude shade. Makeup is about having fun and experimenting with different shades and tones, so go crazy and try them all if you want! These are worth checking out.
