Anastasia Beverly Hills Sun Dipped Glow Kit

Anastasia Beverly Hills Sun Dipped Glow Kit

OK, you all must know by now how much I love highlighters; and foundations and mascaras too, just in case you didn’t know, well now you know…aha. So I made my first purchase of one of the ABH Glow Kits in Sun Dipped, and I have been playing around with it for a couple weeks now. I don’t own any of her previous ones so I was super excited to try this one out, plus the shades were just calling my name.

Sun Dipped is a collection of four metallic powder highlighters for intense luminosity. The Sun Dipped Glow Kit follows the model of the previous two Glow Kits with four different shades of highlighters. The Shades in this kit are:

Bronzed – Amber with a penny metal finish

Summer – Luminous sand with a white gold finish

Tourmaline – Warm taupe with a rose gold finish

Moonstone – Radiant quartz with a pearl finish

There’s a color in this palette for everyone although I would say the shades are on the warmer side. They are richly pigmented and highly blendable for a diffused look. I found these went on the face smoothly and did not emphasize pores or fine lines and the shimmer is so finely milled it won’t leave shimmer particles. All the shades are so gorgeous on the eyes and cheeks and really compliments my medium/olive skin tone. These highlighters can either be worn separately or layered together as the shades compliment each other. The kit is on the shimmery side so I have to use with a lighter hand. I find that Summer and Moonstone look quite similar swatched or sheered out. All in all, this Glow Kit is absolutely gorgeous. You can also apply with a damp makeup brush for more glow or intensity. These highlighters wore well for a good 8 hours. I love using these highlighters with my #23 Brush.

The palette is made of cardboard and has a magnetic system to open it and close it. Each highlighter can be pop in and out from the kit as all 4 are also magnetically attached to the palette. The only thing is, the palette does not come with any mirror which is one thing I wish they could have included. Overall, for my first introduction to ABH highlighters, I am quite impressed!

You can find the Sun Dipped Glow Kit at Sephora and Anastasia Beverly Hills, retailing for US $40.00 / CAD $52.00.

Have you tried this as yet?
