Charlotte Tilbury is back with another collection, the Glowgasm Collection. The only thing I picked up from the collection is the Glowgasm Face Palette which comes in two shades; Lightgasm and Lovegasm. I do however have my eyes on a couple of her Beauty Light Wands.
Each Glowgasm Face Palettes contain four shades in the pan for the face/eyes including a bronzer, blush and glow highlighting shades. The powders contains lustrous pearl pigments to give that multi-faceted, lit-from-within glow. For those looking for a finish that’s light-medium, Lightgasm is your best choice as it has a pale gold highlight, golden peach blush, milky cocoa bronzer and gold-flecked pink colors; while for a medium-dark look, Lovegasm is perfect with a pearly gold highlighter, pearlescent copper blush, rich chocolate bronzer and golden peach colors with a warmer undertone. Each shimmering square of powder is made of brightening pearl pigments that catch the light with every movement. Smoothing polymers give a subtle soft-focus finish and a light texture.
I have the Lovegasm palette which is the deeper one. This one works beautifully for my medium olive complexion. The highlighter is a beautiful pearly gold shade, deeper peach/copper shimmer, medium tan bronzer and a glimmering coral/terracotta gold shimmer. I’m a glow girl through and through and as a peach lover this is absolutely perfect for me.
The pigments in these powders are really beautiful and gives a gorgeous sheen. It has great color payoff which was on the opaque side of the spectrum. The formula has a gel to powder hybrid finish. The texture was creamy and smooth to the touch and blends beautifully too. Layering and mixing the shades and textures work really well for that multi-glow look. It doesn’t emphasize my pores or skin natural texture but I think it’s still important to be careful with your placement and use a primer to prevent creasing because I think there’s a possible they can accentuate lines because they’re so shimmery. The lasting power is excellent.
These palettes are such a great buy and depending on your skintone, you can’t go wrong with either one. These are so perfect for summer to give you that glowy finish to any look.
