My Favourite Makeup Discoveries of the Year so Far!
So we’re half way through the year already and I’m wondering, where the heck has the time gone? I’m telling you, the older I get, the faster times goes!!! WHY WHY, OH WHY??? There has been some real gems in the beauty industry since the year has started and I have discovered some amazing beauty products along the way and wanted to share these with you all! This could easily be my monthly favorites because I love all of these products! I have been using them for a long while now and they have all performed incredibly well and are stand outs for me. The followings are some of the items that I have come across and loved and think are worthy of recommendation! Most of these I have full reviews on and will be linked, so I will not go into too much details. So here are the round ups!
I love my ABH Brow Wiz but since I met this little Brow Definer, I’ve been in love! I love the precise, hair-like strokes the pencil can create to fill in sparse areas. Love how it’s super thin and perfect for those natural-looking, hair-mimicking strokes that go on smoothly and are never too much.
Marc Jacobs Under(cover) Perfecting Coconut Face Primer
Can I just say, I think I have found my perfect primer? This is by far, one of the best primers I’ve used. I love how it hydrates my dry skin and feels super light all the while helping to make my makeup last longer and looking flawless.
BECCA Backlight Priming Filter
Now, if you want to have a soft luminous finish with a lightweight texture, then this primer will give you a nice glow. The filter creates a diffused, soft focus appearance that helps to blur imperfections, making skin look smoother and giving a nice soft glow all over the face minus the glitter and sparkle.
Natasha Denona All Over Glow Face and Body Shimmer
This is one of the prettiest champagne shimmers I have in my beauty stash. The powder is gorgeous and the pigment is excellent and easy to blend. It makes my skin glow to perfection.
Marc Jacobs Beauty Glow Stick Glistening Illuminator
Okay, so you don’t want to be seen from space; looking for a natural glow and fan of cream highlighters? Then this is for you. This highlighter gives a natural glow to the skin without any noticeable shimmer and makes your skin looks dewy. This is great for travelling and a must in your makeup stash!
I am slowly becoming a fan of matte lipsticks, who would have thought?. I love the shade of this lipstick and it has easily become one of my everyday nude lip color. Even though it has a matte finish, it is quite creamy and easy to apply with an impressive color payoff. Another, “matte” lipstick I am loving is this one in Soft Spoken from the NYX Liquid Suede Lipstick line. It is very comfortable to wear and will be great for those who prefer mattes that doesn’t set and dry out the lips completely.
Urban Decay Naked Skin One & Done
This is a hybrid complexion perfector with broad spectrum SPF 20, that instantly and completely blurs imperfections, evens out skintone for a natural look. I have been quite impressed with the results and have been using this foundation a lot. It is just a perfect everyday base to use and also perfect for a no makeup makeup look.
Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting Face Palette
This cute little slim compact feature four creamy shades to sculpt, shape, highlight and add color to the cheeks. The palette contain a matte highlighter, a matte contour shade, a shimmery highlighter and a universal blush shade and the formula is super creamy, pigmented and easily blendable.
FARMACY Hydrating Essence Mist & Setting Spray*
The more I use this stuff, the more I love it! It hydrates and keep my makeup looking fresh all day long and I love how it feels so refreshing on my skin!
