Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation Review

Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation

The new Maybelline Fit Me Liquid foundation is a reformulation of their Fit Me line (now renamed Dewy + Smooth); however, this new formula is for ‘normal to oily’ skin. The claims for the Matte + Poreless foundation are:
-Mattifies and refines pores
-Matches natural tone
-Natural, seamless finish

There are 12 Maybelline Fit Me Matte & Poreless Foundation Shades:
Porcelain 110
Natural Ivory 112
Ivory 115
Classic Ivory 120
Nude Beige 125
Buff Beige 130
Natural Beige 220
Natural Buff 230
Pure Beige 235
Sun Beige 310
Toffee 330
Coconut 335

The Matte + Poreless Foundation comes in a clear, glass bottle with a twist-off cap. There is no pump, so getting the foundation out of the bottle is both a bit tricky and not sanitary. I prefer foundations with pumps or a squeeze tube because you have more control over what comes out and you don’t waste as much product. This packaging is very similar to the original packaging.

The shade 230 Natural Buff matches my NC40 skin perfectly. This is a thick liquid foundation but it blends out easily providing medium buildable coverage. There is no SPF but personally this doesn’t bother me much. The formula is smooth and creamy. The coverage is very lightweight and has a natural finish and great for every day as it leaves your skin looking even and flawless but still natural. This formula is more specifically designed for normal to oily skin and those claims are very true because this is a foundation that dries very fast and matte; so if you do have some dry patches, it is going to cling on to them. I am combination/dry but I feel like any skin type would benefit from this foundation. I would only recommend that your skin is well moisturized and use a good hydrating primer. I don’t know about the ‘poreless’ claims, it doesn’t do much for me in that department but then again, I don’t have really big pores.

This foundation held up very well for about 6 hours before you would need to blot but I also really believes this depends on whether you have oily, normal, combo or dry skin. I would recommend using a brush to make things quicker because it sets so quickly while it provides a dewier more natural finish with a sponge.

This is a great product for the low price point and I really like it a lot.
