Happy New Year Beauties and let’s welcome 2017!
Last year I did the Best in Beauty as well as a Favourite Makeup Discoveries of the Year so Far and since many if not all of those products are still my favorites, I thought I would do something different and round-up my Best Beauty Discoveries of 2016. Basically I’m gonna be showing you my favourite makeup products from 2016, whether they launched in 2016 or I just started using them in 2016 and I ended up loving them. These are products I reached for all the time throughout the year, my tried and true. 2016 was a great year for beauty finds! I also want to thank you guys for an amazing 2016; you guys are awesome and I thank you for following me on this beauty journey!
From makeup, skincare to haircare, here’s the best of the best…
Face and Cheeks
- Hourglass Ambient Lighting Surreal Light Palette (review here) was favorite face palette of the year. Hourglass can do no wrong when it comes to achieving that beautiful subtle glow and this palette contains five gorgeous shades. I just love it!
- Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit in Sun Dipped (review here) are some amazing highlighters when you really want to glow!
- Laura Mercier Candleglow Perfecting Powder in #3 (review here) is rivaling my favorite face powder of all time. This is such a great setting powder!
- Becca Mineral Blush in Amaretto was my favorite neutral nude blush. It’s just beautiful. It is available in the Becca Splits Shimmering Skin.
- Tom Ford Shimmer Shot in Spin Spin Sugar (review here) is my favorite liquid highlighter of the year.
- MUFE Foundation Stick is favorite foundation, period of the year! (review here)
Eyes
- Anastasia Beverly Hills Master Palette by Mario is just an amazing palette overall; it has everything! (review here)
- Natasha Denona Eyeshadow Palette 5 have some of the most beautiful shades and shimmers and the colors are beautiful too (review here)!
- Lancome Hypnose Drama Mascara is something I discovered later this year. It’s been a while since I’ve found a mascara that I really like and this one is pretty good. I only have the sample size but I actually plan on picking up the full size soon. It works great by lengthens my lashes and gave me great separation.
Lips
- Maybelline Creamy Mattes in Touch of Spice has to be the most comfortable matte lipstick ever and it’s from the drugstore…Bonus!
- Tom Ford Lips and Boys in Addison and Collin (review coming soon) are amazing and comfortable nude lip colors.
- Tom Ford Soleil Moisturecore Lip Color (review here) was an amazing collection for spring last year and is so moisturizing on the lips and of course the packaging…need I say more.
- Kat Von D in Lolita (review here) is currently my favorite liquid lipstick. Love the color and the staying power.
Skincare
- Tatcha Polished Rice Enzyme Powder (reviewed here) is the cleanser I reach for quite often. It is an awesome gentle everyday cleanser that doesn’t dry out the skin but still leaves it clean. I’ve really fallen in love with this and have repurchased quite often.
- Bioderma Hydrabio H2O* is the best no-rinse micellar water and makeup remover I’ve tried. I love how it gently cleanses makeup, dirt, and debris from the skin, leaving it feeling fresh, soothed, and nourished. I’ve been through a couple of these bottles already!
- Dennis Gross Skincare Alpha Beta Daily Peel are the best peels I’ve tried! They do such an amazing job at improving the texture and brightness of the skin (review here).
- Tatcha Luminous deep hydrating firming serum is one of the best serum I tried last year and I love it so much for its hydrating properties.
- ORIGINS High-Potency Night-A-Mins Skin Refining Oil is a very beautiful lightweight face oil that is hydrating and brightening. It really nourishes the skin, sinking in instantly and leaving my complexion looking glowing!
Haircare
- Fuel Nourishing Oil* (review here) is currently my favorite new discovery for hair oil to add shine, reduce frizz and smooth.
